Automotive World 'Innovation & Growth' conference
Professor Jon King - Director of Corus automotive engineering group at Warwick University, was a guest speaker at the Automotive World ‘Innovation and Growth’ conference in London on the 30th October.

Professor King spoke about the challenges and opportunities that the industry drivers for change offer the UK industry and Corus. Besides the topics of changing consumer demands, patterns in the use of cars and automotive occupant safety, the topic of environmental legislation was an area where Prof. King saw “a real opportunity for materials suppliers and OEMs to collaborate better”. The fields of light-weighting, better design to meet the end of Life Vehicle Directive and use of novel engineering methods to speed up and therefore reduce the energy consumed during the traditional vehicle development cycle, are “particularly relevant” he said.
